JUST ANOTHER SAAB STORY....

We have the right to keep our website!!!!
Village Saab had no right to take down this website.
Thank you Channel 5, Channel 7, Channel 56, all the newspapers, WAAF Radio and Attorney Steven Meltzer for all your help!!!

IIn November of 2002 I drove my car to Village Saab for a repair to my leased convertible (one of several repairs that had to be done.) As I looked at the new 2003 versions of my vehicle, the salesperson convinced me to get into a new car lease by having Village Saab give me my remaining car payments that were left and I'd turn the older vehicle in. The owner paid me a check of $876.00 and told me that's what was owed on my vehicle. I already told the salesperson I had 4 payments left and he wrote it down. The check from the dealership only covered two of the payments but since they told me that's what was owed, I believed them. I frequently made extra payments on my car, so I didn't challenge it.

I got a bill from Saab Financial for $1086.00 for the amount still owed on the car. No one at any point from the dealership told me I'd still be paying on a car I didn't even have anymore, and no one certainly told me I'd be getting a bill for anything at all. I'm paying for this car still, even though I haven't had it in almost two years. I'm also making payments on the newer 2003 car I drive.

After getting a nasty email last week from Vincent Bouchard, the general manager, I decided to keep this site going to let you, the public know about my Village Saab dealership experience.

(Yes, this is the actual email sent, with the spelling error and all....)

"Shannon,Shannon,Shannon;
I would think your time would be better spent taking a remidial math course( you know to work on adding , subtracting and possibly even counting)."

I have left phone messages for the parts department to call me back because I'm missing a part on my car, and they do not call back.

On Friday, April 17th I got a certified letter from Pamela Salpoglous, Esquire stating I must 'CEASE AND DESIST' this website. Why should I cease and desist my right of freedom of speech? I'm confused. Clearly I'm not as stupid as people at Village Saab think I am, since I have rights too. If a dealership is customer oriented, they will help a person when there's a problem, not egg a problem on. But that would be a good dealership with stellar customer service. Village Saab has a complaint history filed with the Better Business Bureau. For more information go to: http://www.bosbbb.org/reports/reliability_report.asp?FirmId=0000009323
UPDATE: The three complaints files on the BBB site have 'mysteriously disappeared since March'.

Here's a sample except from this esquire's letter I got, it says the following:

"Your actions at this point are not only unwarranted and unlawful they are slanderous and defamatory. Furthermore, your actions constitute a tortious interference with my client's business dealings."

Let me comment on that humorous excerpt from the cease and desist. First of all, owning a Saab that cannot get repaired is interfering with my business and affairs. Having to read slanderous email from the General Manager is causing me mental anguish. I apologize if phone numbers and addresses are slanderous and defamatory, I didn't mean to hurt anyone. Apparently, I'm being an interference with business dealings. Now I would consider those comments defamatory and slanderous. I have not spoken to these people since I bought the vehicle nor have I made a single appearance. Every day in our great country people are allowed to debate and have opinions, which is what makes where we live the best place on earth. Not only should I have every right to state facts about my experience to everyone who chooses to view this site, but also to educate potential buyers of the Saab product on real life experience of a "Proud Saab Owner". As a matter of fact Saab has a club with people who boast as to how much they love their SAAB on the internet, so why should hearing the rest of the story be unwarranted, unlawful, slanderous or defamatory? My husband and I have owned 5 Saabs until now.
